September 9, 200520 yr hey there!i just had to reinstall windows on my computer and so i also had to install flightsimulator once again (i could cry :( ). anyway, i have the same graphic settings as before but now anti-aliasing doesn't seem to work in fs! all other games are working well but fs9 definitely has a problem. i turned aa on in this "ati-settings" stuff that came along with the catalyst drivers for my radeon 9800pro but in fs it just doesn't work. i heard that one shouldn't turn the aa on IN fs as it's pretty heavy on frames, but how do i get it to work then?! any suggestions?
September 9, 200520 yr Hi dont no much about ati cards as i own a nvidea but fs9 is a bit strage when it comes to aa i would try all types of aa for your ati card to see if any work as for the aa in fs itself its not a frame rate hog its 4x aa so its ok to use if you dont mind 4x
September 9, 200520 yr I have a 9800 pro 128 MB card. I have installed the new 5.8 drivers. Do you know how to get to the settings for your card? Find your display setting by clicking on desk top in a vacant spot. Click on Display properties, click on settings, click on advanced. That will get you to your Radeon window for the card. My settings are 3D = 4x AA and 8x Anisotropic filtering. Same for OpenGL
September 10, 200520 yr that are exactely the same settings i use but aa still doesn't work. thanx anyway!
September 10, 200520 yr Well, just a shot in the dark...Try disabling Vertical Sync. I had some problems with AA in FS9 when I tried running with vertical sync on. Everything went away when I unchecked it.BTW, my card is a Radeon 9800XT.
