September 9, 200520 yr Hi,I had to new-install Fs200pro to a different directory. Reason: my original installation gave me "no-textures" problems. The screen shot is Ranger Creek.Ok: so I went through the installation process selecting full install(I selected everything it would allow to install). after a long while Fs2002 said installation complete. When I double clicked the icon to start it up it opened the following window: Completing Setup: generating scenery file indices....At about 63% of it's progression bar, an error window opened:Scenery.CFG file error! Local scenery directory (scenedbwesthemsameeScenery) in scenery.cfg Area.041 not found. Click OK to continue.I clicked ok, it progressed to about 66%, then cdt.I looked in the scenedb location it indicated and samee folder was missing. I created the missing samee and scenery folder, copied it's cab from cd #3, unzipped with winzip to the sameescenery folder. Go to start up Fs2002, I get a quick view of it displaying the "generating scenery file indices...." again, then it quickly cdt's.Here's an extract from my scenery.cfg:[Area.041]Title=Eastern South AmericaActive=TRUELayer=41Remote=Required=FALSELocal=scenedbwesthemsameeI've checked the MS knowledge base for fs2002 and the Tooby site.I also moved the fs2002.cfg and index_file as suggested here at this forum. Here's my pc:AMD 1.44, 512 pc133 sdram, win98se, v5-5500pci(razielEvolution drivers), sblive xgamer, directx 9c.Thank you all in advance,JimB
September 9, 200520 yr First off, with your PC specs and all the crap you have open and in your taskbar I am suprised it runs at all. If that is ranger creek, it is a pay addon and all the textures for it will be in the addon it's self, not in any default FS folder. Also with your specs and the huge amount of windows open, it could be that it hasn't loaded the textures yet.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International Best, Michael KDFW
September 10, 200520 yr Hi Michael,It's the same for other area's as well. I just didn't want to load more screen shots. Yep, there's some stuff in the task bar; but Fs always ran just fine. Not zillions of fps like on hi-end rigs, but ok on the eye's.Your correct, that is pay-addon of Ranger Creek. I have 2 installations of Fs02pro now. The original which is flyable; has the texture problem, and the new one from yesterday which does the crash to desk top when loading.JimB
