No matter what form of Anti Aliasing you use, there are always going to be some angles where the lines do not alias properly - as in this case with a near-horizontal angle you're asking the computer to do more than you can reasonably expect.Having said that, 4xs super sampling is poor choice for AA in FS - can FS even use super-sampling? I've never seen any evidence to indicate the graphics engine is that advanced. Also Radeon cards perform AA in a different way, but bring with them their own set of problems. If this issue bothers you som much, try using the AA from within the sim - you've got the horsepower to not lose too much in the way of fps. Either that or switch to an Ati card - the results may be more to your liking.Allcott

Thanks for your reply appreciated but with 4xS it's less then with 4xA or 8xA or 16xA (only for testing purpose) AA in game is worse then 4xS in my config.Maybe the video isn't that clear will post a higher quality but I never had moving runway lines to this degree in FS before...AA and shimmer is a problem in FS :( It's even on the AI aircraft and the wings...I'm coming from a ATI 9800Pro card so I know the issues...hehehe...But when standing still the lines are moving also at the top of the screen... never had this before ;-)I thinking more of a conflict testing on other game software now to rule out the hardware with faulty AA...More ideas guys...Andr

I'd be interested to find out HOW you swapped the cards from ATI to Nvidia. Did you just uninstall the old ATI driver and install the NVidia when prompted? If you did, you may have lots of ATI files still floating around in the system and they may be causing a conflict. Unload the drivers, get rid of EVERY backup file, system restore point or temp directory that might have ATI drivers in them, using Driver Cleaner Pro, then reboot and point the installer to the NVIDIA drivers when prompted at boot up. At least then you know you have a `clean` installation. You can use Driver Cleaner Pro from www.guru3d.com. I would also look to reinstall mobo drivers and DirectX as you never know, there may be settings that are dependant on the card detected. It couldn't hurt!Allcott

Thanks Allcott did a fresh install of Windows XP and FS2004 since I'm going from ATI to NVIDIA.Already using Driver Cleaner Pro sweat program and needed since I tried several drivers too.Good idea going to reinstall mobo drivers and DirectX, going to test that now thanks for the help really appreciated :-)Let ya know the progress, I'm only surprised we have no more fellow simmers with this issue here at AVSIM...The video show 40% of moving lines at runway/ai aircraft/buildingsdue to the compression to make the file size smaller. But sitting and watching the screen it's really bad...Strange thing tested with BF2 and all AA is working okNever had this with my ATI 9800 Pro (tree shimmer and some lines but that's the usual stuff in FS2004)Only what myself surprised is that with the other NVIDIA 6600GT (my son had to miss that one for a few minutes lol) card had the same issue :-boomAlso just purchased two weeks ago a new mobo and CPU and with the same card have the same issue. So did twice a fresh install (one at the old hardware lucky son of my with his new mobo and CPU and the new one) because I'm seeking now for almost 5 weeks to find a solution...Memory tested with memtest and no errors... so that leaves the card or the powersupply (enermax EG435AX-V 430w) or the drivers or a conflict somewhere... ---edit----Just tested no difference :-roll
