Best freeware flight model?

Featured Replies

Hello, Which GA freeware plane do you think has the most realistic feel of fligth in your estimation? Thanks,Todd

I'd look closely at the RealAir Simulations flight model upgrade for the default Cessna 172. It's very good.Lewis "Moose" GregoryRichmond, Virginia

I agree on the "Real Air"C-172,But there are many. As far as a tail dragger, the Dave Eckert Steerman felt good to me. Again all in all the default Cessna's in FS9 have a reasonable feel. Every plane is rigged a little different, every pilots inputs are different, and of course we all may have yokes, and rudders which leave a lot to be desired ,and cause different inputs. In a C-172 you can't flair with your finger like on FS9,ya gotta use a little arm strength,in a real plane to do it.And just like you will never know what a bike feels like on a Sim,so to you wont know what a plane feels like. Suggest you get up in a real plane ,handle the controls, then you will judge for your self. All these variables make a real choice difficult.Have Fun VIN
