New to flight sim and changing scenery

Featured Replies

Hi I posted in the new members section the other day and i've finally received my copy of X plane 10 although I'm still waiting for my joystick to arrive. I just wanted to know how you go about changing the scenery to look more realistic than it already is, i've seen some good videos of high definition scenery and looks good but I wouldn't know where to start. Is there a tutorial on how to do this and how hard is it to do? I probably sound abit of a newbie but I thought you could upgrade all the terrain in 1 go but that is not right am I correct? I'm looking to upgrade all of it to look visually better if possible. I'm not sure if I will have a problem running it but my system specs are I7 4790k, GTX 970, 1TB SSD, 8GB RAM. Any help will be appreciated.

You can find various improvements for the scenery (with the installation instructions) here:

However, I suggest you to open a new thread on the general X-Plane forum, you'll find a lot more people there ready to help you, than in this less frequented sub-forum.

Thanks for the link and information provided, I will look at the X Plane forums also.
