TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS lockups?

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the info Alex. I hadn't seen that value before but it works for me too in that FS9 hasn't crashed using it. I might have gained a couple of FPS too but hard to tell. I'll use it unless something awful happens to my system (an Intel P4 3.6 MHz with 1 gig of DDR2RAM and a Radeon X800XT PCIe video card with 256 Mgs). Thanks again for your input.Jim

make sure you don't have duplicate display sections in your fs9.cfg folder. also make sure your scenery.cfg folder has correct numbering. ive found those are the biggest cause of crashes

Alex,I tried your recommended texture value (TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=16776704) and it initially worked for me (as I indicated earlier) but then I saw flashing on the fenceline at KSEA (FlyTampa scenery) and I've never had flashing before. I went back to my old value (TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=60) and that fixed the flashing problem. Thanks anyway for the suggestion.Jim
