I got my PMDG 777 for Christmas. It was the disc version, and when I tried to install it, I got this message: "Installation cannot continue. Your registry does not show a valid FSX installation location." Every time I try to install it I get that message. I'm confused, because it worked for the PMDG 737 NGX. I'll add that I installed the PMDG 737 on FSX disc version, and then switched to FSX SE and it worked. I'm worried that if I uninstalled FSX SE, I'd lose all of my addons, so what do you recommend?

The boxed version of the PMDG 777 is outdated and therefore not compatible with FSX-SE. That's why the installer won't let you install the aircraft into FSX-SE.

 

You can get the newest installer from the Aerosoft Support Database, by clicking on the following link:

In the drop-down menu, scroll all the way down to "PMDG - 777 200LR/F FSX" and then click on "Show support for the selected product". This will give you the installer for version v1.10.7025. Your serial key will be required.
