Creating A VC

I`ve recently been looking around for a Slinsgby firefly with a VC for FSX, there is none available so I was wondering if it is possible to create a VC from scratch or even using an existing one and modifying it to replicate the cockpit of the firefly. I have no experience with using modelling software but am willing to learn.

 

Can anyone give me any idea where I could learn how to make one?

FS Developer http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/ would be the best place to start. There is plethora information both in the forum(s) and the Wiki to help get you started, along with some really terrific fellow modelers.

 

BTW, that's an interesting cockpit, but it would have to be built from "scratch" since there's no practical way to modify already compiled models. Also, unless the exterior model is "FSX native" you won't be able to use a separate VC model.

 

FS9 models have both the exterior and interior compiled into a single model (.mdl) file, unlike FSX and P3D where the two models are separate: exterior.mdl and interior.mdl files.
