Solution to 2-aircraft textures.

Featured Replies

I am trying to save some space.I have an aircraft whose texture folder is over 80 megs. I would like to change only one file (just the tail texture). I know that I could copy the whole texture folder, rename it and so on. But I'd like to know if there is a way to be able to copy only the tail texture file and have it accessed separately.Any help is appreciated.Thanks.Abe

In a word, Abe, no.That's a heck of a texture folder, though. Presumably it's stuffed full of 32-bit textures. You could always consider reducing some of those to DXT3 format, perhaps, which would save you lots of space if it really is that critical. You can do this with Martin Wright's DXTBmp program:http://fly.to/mwgfxMarkMark "Dark Moment" BeaumontVP Fleet, DC-3 AirwaysTeam Member, MAAM-SIM[a href=http://www.swiremariners.com/cathayhk.html" target="_blank]http://www.paxship.com/maamlogo2.jpg[/a]
