d3d9.dll crash, help?

Featured Replies

Can't figure out why my game constantly crashes now with a d3d9.dll error. All my drivers are up to date, I've tried rebuilding the fs9.cfg file, dx is installed correctly. I thought I did a good job of going through and getting rid of bad or duplicate afcads, bad textures in aircraft, etc.Can anyone help me get rid of this annoying crash? I can't fly for longer than 2 hours now, this is ridiculousThanks

Did you apply that ATI fix for shimmering? I think that's where I recognize that file from. Anyway, try removing that from your main FS directory. That file did strange things to my system as well.Tim

I was using that, but I am not now, and I still get the crashesThanks for the suggestion though

Alex, you might have remnants of that shimmering fix since that is the DLL from that package. There was a config file as well as the DLL, might want to double check to see if it is still there.I removed mine after reading that it wasn't a good thing to have from the MS team on their blogs.Regards, MichaelKDFWhttp://www.calvirair.com/mcpics/mcdcvabanner.jpgCalVirAir International
