October 18, 200520 yr I've been practicing ILS landings at Sacremento. I dial in the correct frequency for approach on runway 160 but the plane always centers on 163. I'm wondering if there is a way to correct this problem, or if its just isolated to a few airports. Thanks.
October 18, 200520 yr The heading of the ILS runway is often different from the runway number. http://www.airnav.com/airport/SMF/ils/16R
October 18, 200520 yr Author You will also note from the information above that the correct runway heading is now 166 degrees magnetic, not the 164.840 degrees magnetic in FS2004.The magnetic deveation changes every year. In a few years the runway will be named 17R.
