What is display.cfg for?

I always disregarded this file because I thought that it's something like a left-over from ancient times when graphics adapters were by far not so powerful.A recent thread in the Active Sky forum now names this file, and someone managed to blur the horizon line by adding tablefog=0 into some section, using a new ATI 850.The contents of the file don't make me wise, so what is it for? Seems to be of some importance, though. What are the entries allowed for the file?And, is it possible to put some lines into fs9.cfg thus overriding the display.cfg settings?What if I delete the file completely?Questions, questions, maybe someone enlightens me...Andreas

Hi Andreas, I'm no expert on these matters but I'll tell you my understanding of this file's purpose. I have read (and it seems to be true) that the file is used to build the [Display.Device.***] section of the Fs9.cfg file. Therefore, it is used only when:o a new config file (Fs9.cfg) is built,o a new graphics card is installed, oro new diplay drivers are loaded.And yes, you can manually add or delete lines in the display.device section of the config file. One of the lines that can be added to that section is tablefog=0. I had to do this to create a hazy looking horizon line from my Radeon 9200. R-
