FMS Knob problem

Featured Replies

My mouse/keyboard and fully powered and have no issues with any other software.

I am having trouble with my FMS knob.  Both the 3d cockpit version on the MFD and on the lower console FMS and the popup MFD version.

I move the mouse over the knob and it only wants to turn on the left side of the knob.  The right side had no effect.  Makes pretty much anything that the FMS controls - useless.

I just watched a beautiful flight in the Phenom 300 from FS Mania, and his knobs worked effortlessly in FSX.  Does not appear to be the case for me in P3D.

Also just noticed that the VS knob on the FMC, selecting up or down, the FD goes down on both.

Same situation with ALT select on FMC.  Will only go down, not up on altitude.

I tried the same thing on the Baron with G1000 and it does not seem to have that issue.  Both sides of the FMS worked on that model.  So I guess my problem is isolated the the Phenom 300.  Shame...I love this plane.

I have also tried re-installing the aircraft.  No good.

Has anyone else had this issue, or am I a lone wolf?

OK, I answered my own question.

Quite by accident I discovered the benefits of the mouse middle wheel.

Place mouse over desired button, scroll mouse wheel one way or the other, problem solved.

Hope this saves others time hunting.  This is an excellent flying aircraft.
