low vis. even on max vis settings

trying out the demo of AS16, and its great, but im having vis issues. it seems to default most weather conditions to quite hazy in the distance.

also when forced to 200vis with custom wx get a white band on the horizon, this is with 200 for both max vis settings.

anything i can do to remove this? and is the lowish vis with 'real' weather (not pictured) normal?
