What do I need to do to be able to "right click & save" pictures in formats other than .bmp. Something needs to be cleared out but can't for the life of me remember what. Thanks

Normally (in WinXP) Right click - Save picture as - should give the option to save as .bmp or jpeg. Are you not getting this option?Dave

get that sometimes with a single site or browser session.Browser should give the option to save in the original file format for the picture. Sometimes it doesn't for some reason, but can save it to bmp. My guess is that this happens if the graphic is somewhat corrupted, not enough to fail to display but just enough that for some reason the engine that determine what to save it as doesn't recognise it.

Have a look here- describes your problem and the solution - and see if it helps...........http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...b;EN-US;q260650You'll need to type in the complete link - the system here(forum ) seems to cut of the last few characters(;EN-US;q260650) from the hyperlinkDave
