Designated AF2 parking and ATC?

Featured Replies

Is there ANY way to get ATC to send you to parking you have designated for your VA airline, in Afcad2, upon arrival? Or is this only an AI thing? If so, that would be a shame and a waste of a great opportunity, IMHO. we have:1. Added our VA to the "airlines.cfg" file, in FS9.2. Added our VA to the Afcad2 "ParkingSpecs.txt".3. Added the required "atc_airline=xxxx" in each applicable aircraft.cfg.4. Added the required "atc_parking_codes=xxxx" as above.5. Created AF2 parking reserved for our VA. ATC will still not send us to our parking upon arrival.Any insight is appreciated. Vic

You can put your va's name in the spots you want. Then in afcad2 under parking put those spots at the top of the list. ATC will use the first spot available for your size plane. As long as an ai plane is not parked there.

the ATC does not use parking codes for your aircraft, but the suggestion above me is pretty good. Also you can try to change the afcad2 file so the parking spots you want are different, such as "south parking" as the description. Then, when you land, you tell the ATC you want to go to south parking

Excellent suggestions...which make sense, when you think about it. I will try these and get back to you. Thanks much, guys! Vic
