Lost Mini-Panel

Featured Replies

I seem to have lost my FS9 minipanel (is that what they call the little 4-gauge display when you press "W" once?). Can anyone help me recover this useful display?Dave Hinson

Here's a couple of quick items to check:1. see if you still have the minipanel CAB file in your main FS9 "Gauges" folder..... MiniPanel.cab2. check that you still have the "panel.cfg" file for the minipanels located in: C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9Aircraftdefaultpanelif any of those items are missing, they can be retrieved from the FS2004 cd's.note: in the avsim library: fs9cddir.zip by Brian Collinsa document that lists the location of every file on each CD-ROMHope that helps you get started.

You lost the panel or nothing happens when you press "W"? Does "W" still cycle the view at all?Bud

Yes, I should have mentioned that the views cycle by continuously pressing "W", just that the 2nd press gives a view exactly like the 3rd, without the minipanel. It also is a problem for every aircraft I have. Also, Dogknot, I do find that the minipanel.cab file is missing. Thanks very much both of you for your response.Dave

Found minipanel.cab in my backup folder for "Gauge Explorer". Seems these gauge removal programs sometimes remove too much. Thanks again.Dave
