Newbee got few initial questions

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

So, I finally, made the move, downloaded and installed the demo version of XP11, I installed it on my secondary SSD next to FSX-SE

Little Cessna172 is on the ground at KSEA

Now:

  • Should I expect any issues when running utilities like, XPUIPC, SPAD.neXT Etc ?
  • First bug spotted, open the Plugin Admi window but, can't close it ?
  • Setup & calibrated the Pro-Yoke but it's but it doesn't behave well, banking to the left , can't keep it centered on a straight & level flight
  • I'm trying to set up button #3 on my Saiteks Pr-Flight Yoke to be able to toggle between the external view and internal view ( like in FSX it is the red button the flip between the cameras)
  • Hat Button is working well, but its a very slow motion ?
  • I see that I can assign buttons to the Gamin 430 & the G1000, but what about the G530 which pups up as the default GPS  ???
  • Wind mode & full screen mode, is there anything like this in XP?
  • Second monitor, is duplicating the main Monitor, why, and can I have it blank, where I can just drag & place the GPS ?

That  is all for now :-)

I'll appreciate any help

Happy Sims year from KSNA

xpuipc works fine for me, i use it for effass with no issues, and i have had no problems, i believe you need to enable to second monitor to use dual monitors, at least in x-plane 10, i just bought a small second monitor for my efass efb, I am not sure if both monitors need to be the same resolution.there is the thread in the org forums to speed your hat switch up. i don't think most x-plane users even use it.I don't know about the gns, I only fly heavies for the most part.

Banking left: do you see the yoke in the VC also banking left? If so, recalibrate the device during flight. The last time I had to recalibrate it twice during flight before it was alright.

On one of the settings tabs (I think graphics) you will see all attached monitors at the bottom of the screen: you can (very easily) set the options for each screen separately.

oh, I see, do you need to start the Sim after calibration, or just apply the new setting ?

As of the monitor, well, I switched to the 2D Panel option, so I got a black display, I moved the G530 (which ,BTW, doesn't display the whole data as in FSX, just a basic & minimum of the Airport info) to the second display and resized it, so we good here
