Input Lag at 25hz

This may be a dumb question but here goes anyway.  I recently upgraded to a 4k TV that supports several resolutions including 25, 29, and 30 hz.  Using vsync and setting it to 29hz it runs very smooth, but, after my initial climb I get pretty bad blurries at unlimited FPS while maintaining 29 FPS.  If I use the 25hz refresh rate, it is still not perfect but much improved.  But, I get some pretty bad input lag on my mouse and the colors appear to look a bit weird at 25.  Is there a way to solve the input lag issue or is this just me not used to the lower refresh rate?  It's not the end of the world if I only use it for P3D but the lag would drive me nuts when using my computer for anything else.
