December 14, 200520 yr Just fought my way through the first thread re the new 737 trying to find references to the Feelthere 737 released yesterday but most of what I can/could find is about pretty much every aircraft on the market except for the new 737!!!!!!!!ANY CHANCE YOU COULD PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK OF THE 737 RATHER THAN EVERYTHING ELSE WE CAN BUY THAT HAS NOTHING AT ALL TO DO THIS PRODUCT (FUMING)!Andrew BrownACPChttp://www.crazypilots.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/

December 14, 200520 yr I'd look at the FeelThere forum for that. So far it looks like there are a few minor bugs. I take some of the bugs with a grain of salt though. I remember back in the days of Fly! with the PMDG 757-200ER, people complained about a "glitch" in the FMC, but it was actually a realistically modelled limitation that's in the real FMC's programming. Even in the real world, some of these aircraft's autopilots, FMCs, etc are not as perfectly programmed as most simmers would like to think.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. December 14, 200520 yr or people complaining the PMDG 744's FMC "Freezes" when you execute the plan, lol!Personally I love it. There are a few minor issues, but they will be taken care of quickly, as feelthere has been known to do.I had a quick hop last night and think it is amazing, the frames with the weather radar on could use some help, but thats a minor problem as only few and far between addons have built in weather radar.Check out the bug reports in the forum, if you don't see anything keeping you from enjoying it, wait til the patch and then think about it. But I am glad I purchased it and can look past the minor problems and have learned to be greatful instead of finding the stupidest smallest things to complain about
December 14, 200520 yr The FMC issue I refered to was the "Inssuficient Fuel" message. People complained that it was saying that on climb out when they knew in their minds they had enough fuel. They neglected to realize that most FMCs compute off of current fuel flow rather than predicting fuel flow for all regimes of flight.I'm gonna get it when the full package comes out because I'm a miser even with 6 bucks. Hehe. My VA I fly for, MidCon, uses the 300 and 400. I have the PMDG 600/700 because on rare occation, I get assigned to the 700, and it has been out for a while. We have 3 700s and 2 800s. I plan on getting the 800/900 from PMDG sometime in the future too, but we fly 300/400s probably about 95% of the time.----------------------------------------------------------------John MorganReal World: KGEG, UND Aerospace Spokane Satillite, Private ASEL 141.2 hrs, 314 landings, 46 inst. apprs.Virtual: MSFS 2004"There is a feeling about an airport that no other piece of ground can have. December 14, 200520 yr Slightly O/T so please forgive me for that, but a friend of mine who has since left FS totally used to spend most of his life on 747-400 PS1. For anyone who doesn't know it, this is a systems simulation designed to keep real B744 pilots in practice and bring them up to speed if they have been flying a desk for a while. That always used to report "insufficient fuel" on climb out. Or at least it did every time I saw Keith set it up for a long distance flight. If that does, it is a pretty good bet that the real one does too... ;-)I'm another $6 (or, well,
December 14, 200520 yr The -400 is my reason for buying the package so I too am waiting although I don't see me waiting for a patch. I've been watching the Wilco site for months. I "lived" in the DF 737 in FS2002 days and have always missed the -400 since then. As far as I am concerned unless there are any major bugs such as missing wings ;-) I'll be at the head of the queue. If it begins with 737 and ends with 400 that pretty much has me sold, I think its something to do with it being in the style of some of the older jets like the 727 while at the same time having a FMC. Not too bothered with the weather radar but I'm sure I will use it as long as it doesn't make too much of an impact on fps but I will be expecting some.Andrew BrownACPC-CEOhttp://www.crazypilots.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/
December 19, 200520 yr First impressions ... the external model is appalling (very poor design), 2D panel is nice, can't comment on VC as I'm a 2d junky BUT the Virtual wing view is very nice, and too early to say anything on flight dynamics .... need more time!I have a feeling PMDG won't be de-throned as the FS9 737 experts (even though they are different aircraft).D.____________________________________________AMD64 3400+ATi Radeon 9800SE 256MB (softmod to 9800 PRO)2 X 512Mb DDR333 Kingston RAM 200Gb Seagate Barracuda SATA 7200 HDD(x32 XP SP2 Home)40GB Hitachi SATA 7200 HDD (x64 XP Pro)Abit AV8 Pro moboSony DVD-ROMLG DVD-RW"How wide the limits stand, between a splendid and a happy land"http://www.precisionmanuals.com/images/forum/800driver.jpg[/img]
