December 16, 200520 yr I have just purchased a multimedia keyboard (DELL) that has a rotating knob to adjust the sound volume. I would like to use this knob in FS and assign to Increase/Decrease selection. Using the FS key assignment, it doesn't work because the knob is not "seen" as a key. The other multimedia keys (stop, play/pause, prev, next, ...) work fine and can be assigned, but not the rotating knob.If someone could make this work, I would be glad to share the experience...Thanks for any help !!Eric My Web Site
December 16, 200520 yr I never thought about using the wheel myself, although I've had my wireless Logitech keyboard for ages. Just for the heck of it I tried to assign the rotating wheel to something, and noticed that rotating it counterclockwise registered as "C" while clockwise registered as "B".I assigned them to autopilot heading bug increase / decrease, and they worked in-game. It might be useful if the sound volume didn't also change when I rotated the disc, but as it stands I'll rather control just the sound volume with it :)Atleast you know it works (sort of) on some keyboards!
December 16, 200520 yr Author Thanks for the info.It appears that the Logitech keyboards are better than the Dell ones...Eric My Web Site
