December 16, 200520 yr Hi,I was redoing Lakes Region Airport, Wolfeboro, NH and I found out it's FAA/ICAO designation is now 69NH. Should I change it?Are there any negative ramifications to changing it in the AFCAD?Unless I edit AP928160.bgl and delete the default airport, the name 8B8 will also still exist (I'll create a new AFCAD and delete everything but the reference point, and put the reference point on the tarmac of the airport), but I don't think that's so bad. Thanks,Thomas
December 16, 200520 yr Author I've got a list of almost 300 airports which have changed designators since FS2004 was released. Luckily only a couple dozen are commercial airports with scheduled traffic. However, I'm getting more GA traffic every day.I do not bother to try and change the airport designation / delete the old one. In a couple cases I have created EditVoicePack modifications for the new designator and submitted those. If you absolutely feel the need to change - your plan is the way to go.
