Ground textures on FS2002

Featured Replies

Hello,Whenever I try to fly an aircraft ( any aircraft ) in all seasons except summer, FS2002 crash upon loading scenery textures and reason given is ntdll (85% out of all cases) or fe.dll (15%).Summer looks ok.I don't have a clue where to start, can you help me?Thanks

First question--do you have any add-ons, especially scenery add-ons. Next question--when you installed FS2002, did you do a full install?-John

What is interesting is that fs crashes especially over mountaineous areas in winter and in fall. It happened when I loaded a flight in LIMC ( at approx 8% of scenery textures loading ) and also in the KDEN area ( 5 minutes after taking off and heading westbound - just where the mountain chain started ).I believe I did a full and clean install of FS8.DM

Hello DM, While FS2002 is NOT running, try to delete all small SCENERY.dat filesthat are logicaly close to where you fly andrestart FS2002. Some times, a forced re-writeof SCENERY.dat files cures the problem.Blue skies.
