Best way to setup Reverse Thrust?

Featured Replies

Hey guys, seeing as how MUCH power this bird has and in REV can go almost all the way to 115% N1 is there a better way to command reverse?

For years I've used FSUIPC with my 2 Saitek Throttles and each button in the detent did REV per each engine via the Throttle Decrease command (Control to repeat when held). Then I use a lua script to gradually decrease thrust to reverse idle, then idle so the airplane doesn't LEAP forward.

But using MAX REV on a medium to light 747 you stop way too quickly, and half reverse or reverse idle would be more preferable.

How can we do this now? PMDG, is there a more ingenious way to command better day to day reverse thrust and idle command inputs?

Not to mention that the lua scripts x4 engines rarely ever syncs across all 4. So you will get multiple engines spooling down at different times and this causes some undesired yaw rolling down the runway.
