My FS2004 CTD's after splash screen, any alternative to get into Scenery Library?

Featured Replies

I have the crash-to-desktop after the Splash Screen on my FS2004 setup. I think this is because I am running it to my HDTV at 1920x1080, and FS is trying to get an unsupported resolution for the Welcome screen, or it might be related to dual-core processor. I've gone through all the other checks in the Microsoft KB article etc. So I have edited my FS9.CFG to take me direct to the cockpit. I am fine with doing this as everything works great...except I cannot get into the Scenery Library. Is there a shortcut key or some other way I can get it to load without having to go through the Welcome screen? I installed Ultimate Terrain and some other scenery and I need to change the order of the layers (so I can see the Statue of Liberty again ;-) ). Alternatively, is there a 3rd party scenery manager tool I can use to accomplish this? Thanks,Joe

HI Joe,The "Scenery Library" is just a graphical interface to the scenery.cfg file found in your root FS9 folder. You can open it in notepad and edit it. Make sure to back it up before making any changes.Hope this helps-------Justinhttp://www.fsgenesis.netHigh Quality Scenery for FS200x
