Anyone run into this problem? I have been fliyng FS2004 pretty much error free until the last couple of weeks when for (still) some unknown problem when flying between point A and point B, about right in the middle of the flight, the ATC turns me around and heads me back toward when I came from, point A. Not maybe on the exact bearing, but something close to it, or, when I get near my destinaion airport, the ATC sends me on a course past point B, hundreds of miles until I shut the flight OFF or cancle the IFR and REFILE for the original destination. This only has happened in the past couple of weeks. I had changed or installed into my FS2004 the following three things since ABOUT the time all of this started:1. Started flying the Level-D 767-3002. Installed FSUIPC 3.51 (default setting only)3. Installed My Traffic 2006.As yet, I do not know what has caused this crazy flight plan problem. Anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking of trying the new version "Radar Contact 4" to see it that will fix the problem. I do have a "back up" of FS 2004 made a couple of months ago but I have added quite a lot of items to FS2004 since then.On the other hand, I do have FS2004 installed on another computer. Does anyone know what file or folder within FS2004 the "ATC" part is installed so that I might could reinstall just that part of FS2004 into the "bad" computer? Well the only thing I can think of isd there may be differences between the fs9 plan and your LDS route, causing fs9 to try to 'correct' your course, usually by turning you 180 deg.It can get tricky with fs9 atc and an addon fmc that cannot import fs9 plans - try to ensure they coincide as precisely as possible. I see you Level-D "sticker. I'm just (trying) to learn to fly with the FMC, (Level-D 767-300) so am I supposed to make a normal flight plan (IFR) in FS2004 and have them vectoring me from point A to point B or start from a airport with only the info in the Level-D FMC to get me from point A to B ???? jerrycwo4

One problem with fs 2004. Is it dose not take into consideration what is programmed into the fmc. For example. Say you want to fly from KMDW-KMCO. The route that you would program into the fmc would be something like KMDW MDW4 EON DNV TTH BWG GQO ATL J89 OTK LEESE1 KMCO.You program that route into the fmc, but also file a IFR flight plan with fs 2004. ATC will only look at your IFR flight plan that you filed via fs 2004. So lets just pretend the fs 2004 route planner, had you go to GIJ instead of EON after deaprting KMDW. fs9 atc will want you to go to GIJ instead of EON. I will useally do what was suggested above. I will file a flight plan via fs9 flight planner (when I rarly use fs9 atc) and set the routeing as VOR-VOR. I will then copy the vors down on a sheet of paper, or wordpad. Followed by me programming the route fs04 gave me into the FMC for a aircraft such as the Level D. Another think I will do sometimes to not conflict with AI traffic thats is deaprting or arriving will be, askiing atc for a straight out vfr deaprtuer. It lets me fly my route. While still being aware of other AI at the airport. This is not to much of a problem for many people becuase of the fact, once you learn how to operate the aircraft navigations systems, fmc etc. You wont really need atc as much as you do now. I hope this helps you somewhat. Aircraft like the levelD-763 dont have things such as a nav/gps switch. Or a nav hold. The a.c navigates mainly during flight on the fmc.
