I don't think any of the fighter planes used in the pacific featured front-mounted, turreted guns (some fighter-bombers did have turrets behind the pilot, though). If the weapons are mounted directly to the aircraft's frame they can't be turned - in the Cobra's case the 20mm cannon is mounted on a rotating turret which allows it to be turned separately from the copter.

I've never played CFS2 but looking at the list of flyable airplanes in it, my guess would be "no, you can't".
