VC and no VC views....

Featured Replies

Hi all,A question I must ask. I like Steven Grants planes a lot but they don't have vcs' and so I generally delete them!! as I like to switch through the views and don't like the 'empty' view of a missing vc, but I did d/l a Cessna I think which had no vc, but also had only 3 views in it's cycle and so didn't have the problem. Is there a way to adjust the cfg perhaps to create a 3 view cycle when you want?Lemonadedrinker.

If you have a registered version of FSUIPC, you can set keys or buttons on your controller to snap to specific views, like 2D cockpit, VC or spot view.

Hi Bill, Thanks for the reply. The airplane I was thinking of is the Cessna 182RG from David Durst and james Joblon which has no VC but no VC view either and that seems a neat solution. The FSUIPC way is one I will look at as well.Lemonadedrinker.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is incorrect. What FSUIPC does allow you is to map forward or backward cycling through the views to a controller button, but you cannot program a button to go to a certain view directly from any other view.If I'm wrong, please let me know how to do it, it's something I've always wanted to do.Matthias

Yes you can assign specific views to buttons via FSUIPC. In the "control sent when button pressed" box select "View1 Mode Set" and put the view you want in the parameter box using numbers: 1=2D, 2=VC, 3=Tower, 4=Spot, 5=Top Down, 6=Track. One button I have set to go to tower view as long as I hold the button then to VC view when I release the button.Bud

Excellent, thanks! This works. :)
