MCP Stops Responding

Featured Replies

Hello far more experienced and knowledgable ones than I.

I have been enjoying the new 747 but have come into a problem more often than not.

While setting up the flight at the gate, all is going well and am able to use all the functions of the aircraft including the MCP for setting altitude and takeoff speed.

Then and I am not certain when, the MCP stops responding to any adjustments I make.  I can see the heading line move in the panel however, the numbers on the MCP don't budge.  Same with the speed and the alt.

I have to shut it down and re-boot.  Sometimes I can fly and some times it happens again.

Any suggestions as to what Im doing wrong or could do to fix this?

Forgive me please if this has been addressed in another area.  I was not able to locate it if it has been.

All is up to date from PMDG Operations.  Let me know if you require more information on my part.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards.

David Bell

I think I figured it out.  I believe it is a Chaseplane "thing".

Thanks and sorry.

Kind regards.

David.
