Traffic

Featured Replies

Since I've been away from FS9 for a while (2 yrs) I know that there are programs that provide a huge amount of AI traffic. I am installing Radar Contact 4 and want to have some company up there. What is the best program to provide the crowded skys.

Ultimate Traffic is the easiest to install and set up and it uses real airline schedules as traffic. Works great with RC4....

Franko AI Traffic V4.3 - A freeware traffic pack which is a bit hard to find nowadays, but if you find anyone who might have it and is able to send it to you, then it's the best freeware traffic pack that's been created so far, first-class AI traffic, really. This Google search page might help you out:http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%22fr...traffic+v4.3%22Cheers,

MyTraffic 2006 has more traffic than Ultimate Traffic and traffic shows at more airports (including little GA ones) but the models are slightly simpler and there are not real-world schedules (I didnt want real-world schedules anyway ... just lotsof traffic). 2006 version has this feature to set traffic back 50 years or something like that (aircraft and liveries from the past).http://mytraffic2004.com/version4/MyTraffic also has military AI and GA traffic. So the question of what is best is relative. There are other packages too but as far as the battle between Ultimnate Traffic and MyTraffic goes , if you like real-world shcedules then get Ultimate Traffic. If you want moire traffic and traffic (including military and GA) at more airports , get MyTraffic.Neither is really "better" in absolute termes ... just depends on what you want .

Free is always good, so far no luck in finding it. I will probably D/L ultimate traffic when I get home. Boeing is a little sensitive about put stuff like that on my laptop. Thanks for the info....

My traffic looks good but the price seems a bit steep, I believe that I had a version of this at one time but can't remember when. UT is only 29.00 and my traffic is unknown to me because the purchase price is in Euros. Thanks for the info, I will look at the site.

One of the values of real world traffic is this. I fly for UPSVAC ( UPC VA). When I fly into UPS hub, I hear and see other UPS traffic, or into Atlanta, alot of Delta and Air Tran Flights. Also the Airlines are parked at the correct gates. Really cranks up the realism in my opinion.

ProjectAI - freeware... UT is nice though, especially the little utility that allows you to change the models for better looking ones like FSPainter and AIAardvarkBest RegardsBoone,[email protected]"Flying a plane is no different from riding a bicycle. It's just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes."

Thanks Boone, I looked in the File Library but did not find an indivual file named ProjectAI only aircraft. Is that what I am suppose to do down load many AI files???

Prdant,Project AI is here www.projectai.com. They have have a pretty neat system for installing AI schedules and aircraft.I say give it a go, and then see if you need Ultimate Traffic.

Jason CYOO - Formerly MYNN[br /]General Aviation Fan[br]P4 3,2Ghz, 1GB Ram, FX5900 128MB, XP SP2.[br /][br /]

Thank you sir, I will try that. I don't believe that I need more than AI, I just want to have company around me.

Your very welcome!!I think ProjectAI will do what you want. I use it and it definitely does all I need as far as traffic is concerned. And there is always new stuff on the site being created. Also look in the forums for information on other groups that are expanding on it.Enjoy!

Jason CYOO - Formerly MYNN[br /]General Aviation Fan[br]P4 3.2Ghz, 1GB Ram, FX5900 128MB, XP SP2.[br /][br /]

I grabbed a couple of the installers and will go from there. Is there a guide as how to install the a/c or is it point and click.

From what I remember, you need the installer, and each aircraft package is a .pai file. Use the PAI installer to install each package that you want to install. And that should be it! Each package includes Aircraft and Flightplans.

Jason CYOO - Formerly MYNN[br /]General Aviation Fan[br]P4 3.2Ghz, 1GB Ram, FX5900 128MB, XP SP2.[br /][br /]
