Inappropriate airport range rings

I am finding the range rings inappropriate for heavy aircraft. The default of 3 miles and a maximum of 300 miles is too fixed. I do not find myself wishing to change the ranges during a fight.

Light aircraft pilots might like shorter ranges than long-haulers. So I suggest that there be a parameter that could be set in Preferences instead of the current pre-determined range rings.
