Project Fokker "minimals" callout

Featured Replies

I have the Project Fokker V2 and the MFDU add on panel. The problem I have is that as I accelerate down the runway I get a high pitched alarm and the call out "minimals".Having studied (not necessarily understood) the read me I have checked that the GPWS height is set at 100 but I still get the warning.Any suggestions chaps?Best regardsMichael

Hi Michael,If you are referring to my PF Addon V2:You are talking about 2 different warnings in two conpletely different stage of flight:1. The high-pitch alarm during takeoff run (after you pass 40 knots) is a warning that your aircraft is not in takeoff configuration; see the Vspeed gauge in MFDU page-3 for reported reason. Most common cause is: the aircraft exceeds max. takeoff weight (you have loaded too much fuel); remedy: about takeoff and dump fuel.Better yet: before takeoff, check the Vspeed gauge that NO warnings are given.2. The "Minimums" warning is giving when you are in landing configuration and you sink below the set altitude. So what would you expect instead ??Regards, Rob Barendregt

Thank you Rob. It's something that has been bugging me ages and as usual it is the simplest answer. The one thing I really love about the simulator world is that when you have a problem and you ask a question, it is often answered by the person that designed the thing in the first place.Anyways. Another lesson learnt.
