I am one week in to my month long trip in europe.  My british airways non stop from phoenix to london last week was nice.  Long but nice.  In europe i have not flown.  I took the dover ferry to get to france.  I am on an escorted tour which ends on june 23rd, then back to phoenix on british airways 747-400. This marks the 40th anniversary of my first trip to europe which i took with a high school group.  Still remember the dc8-63 i flew on back then, quite a different aircraft from the 747.  Going back to jfk we had to stop for fuel in shannon ireland and gander newfoundland.  Anyway it's time to check into my hotel in madrid.   The only thing i miss from home?  Simming, of course!
