Microsoft XP and the disk clean-up tool.

(I'am not sure where or if I should post this.)Hi, I just want to put forth a warning about Microsoft XP and the disk clean-up tool. Apparently under the right conditions you can really trash your drive using this tool. Last night I used it and rendered my system useless. Actually it deleted a substantial portion of my files and only stopped because it deleted some critical system files. Subsequent research via the Internet has lead me to believe this can happen if you check off the "Old Compressed Files" option which I did. I even found one link that described a way to disable that option to prevent it from being checked.Another warning is that one should back-up their pay flight sim add-ons and emails. I didn
