February 28, 200620 yr I'm trying to correctly tag my AI regional turbo-props and RJs with the correct ATC callsign.I know several already like Eagle Flight, SkyEx, Jet Link, Comair and Mesaba and have been able to associate these to American, Midwest, Continental, Delta, and Northwest feeder airlines. But I know there are several more that are unknown to me.Who is "Blue Streak?"Who is "Air Shuttle?"Who is "Flag Ship?"Who is "Chautauqua?"Who is "Water Ski?Who is "Sky Tour?"Who is "Pro Air?"Who is "Jet Set"?Who is "Dream Flight"Who is "Candler?"Who is "Blue Ridge?"Who is "Biz Ex?"And there are several regional airlines that fly under the flag of more than one big airline.I tried AEROSITE, but I can't associate the atc callsign with the correct airline company. Can anyone fill in the blanks so my AI traffic is more real world? Thanks!Rick (MKE)

February 28, 200620 yr Author One of the things you will find is that some are only for one carrier and some fly for several carriers:Blue Ridge - was once United Express - not used for about two or three years - split off from United and flew under new name and callsign "Independence Air" ceased operations on Jan 5, 2006Blue Streak - US Airways Express only - CRJ-200 & CRJ-700 (wholly owned by US Airways)Flagship - Northwest Air Link only (CRJ-200 & CRJ-700)Air Shuttle - America West Express (56 CRJ & 6 Dash-8-200), US Airways Express (16 RJ & some B-1900), United Express (60 RJ & 10 Dash-8-200), Delta Connection (30 RJ's)Air Shuttle RJ Fleet - 38 - CRJ-900 (America West Express); 15 - CRJ-700, 56 - CRJ-200, 36 - ERJ-145Air Midwest - AMW - (owned by Mesa/Air Shuttle) - US Airways Express, also flies some "essential air service" flights from KABQ, KDFW, KMCI, KCLT, KPIT under Mesa Airlines banner - not officially associated with any specific major airline - many of the 20 - B-1900's in the fleet fly as Air MidwestChautauqua - US Airways Express (29 - ERJ-145), American Connection (15 - ERJ-140), Delta Connection (15 - ERJ 135 & 19 - ERJ-145), United Express (16 - ERJ-145)Water Ski - US Airways Express (ERJ-145 & JS-41), American Connection (ERJ-145 & JS-41), United Express (ERJ-145)Candler - ASA - Atlantic Southeast Airlines - Delta Connection only - Sold Sept 8, 2005 to SkyWest, Inc. - will probably disappear soon - Fleet - 35 - CJR-700; 18 - CRJ-200 (40 pax); 88 - CRJ-200 (50 pax); 12 - ATR-72-210Skywest - SKW - Delta Connection (Salt Lake City), United Express (Denver, Chicago, LAX, SFO) - Fleet - 62 - EMB-120 turboprops; 123 - CRJ-200; 47 - CRJ-700 (Not counting ASA)Air Wisconsin - AWI - US Airways Express; United Express - 70 - CRJ-200 & 6 - BAe-146 200 or 300Colgan - CJC - Colgan Airways Inc - Continental Connection (KIAH); United Express (KIAD); US Airways Express (KBOS, KLGA, KIAD, KDCA, KPIT)(Saab 340 / B1900 aircraft)Gulf Flight - GFT - Gulfstream Internaitonal Airlines - Continental Connection - Florida / Bahamas - B-1900D aircraftJet Link - BTA - ExpressJet Airlines d/b/a Continental Express - was once Britt Airways - flies 30 - ERJ-135; 140 - ERJ-145; about 100 - ERJ-145XR aircraft for Continental ExpressHorizon - QXE - Alaska Airlines regional partner in northwest US; also operates 9 CRJ-700 for Frontier JetExpress.Lakes Air - GLA - Great Lakes Aviation - flies Frontier as codeshre but under their own name - EMB-120 & B-1900D aircraftCorp-X - CEA - RegionsAir (was Corporate Express Airlines) - American Conection - 10 BAe JS-32 - out of St. Louis (Name changed in early 2005 - about three months after a fatal crash of a JS-32 at Kirksville, MO)Eagle Flight - EGF - both the ICAO and the call sign are no longer valid- though I heard an American Eagle Saab on my scanner yesterday using "Eagle Flight" on approach to KDFW.In 2003, union contracts required American Airlines to sell the American Eagle turboprop operations. The airlines can only have a certain percentage of their total flights flown by their wholly owned American Eagle subsidary. To meet that requirement and to replace the F-100 and some MD-8x aircraft with CRJ's the airline decided to sell the turboprops. My scanner listening and spotting sessions at KDFW indicate many of the CRJ and ERJ aircraft use "American" as their call sign. Some still use "Eagle Flight".The turboprop ATR operations based in Miami and San Juan were sold to a company in Puerto Rico - Executive Airlines - ICAO - EXW - callsign - Echoline. The EGF ICAO code has since been transferred / sold to Executive Airlines. However, I am not certain which callsign is used in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean or out of Miami.
