I recently uninstalled FS9 inorder to incease memory for video project in the Pinnacle Studio 10 program. There may be a totally different reason and solution.Do you have an onboard soundcard: C-media AC97 and have a Windows Update download for: C-Media AC97 Audio Device software update released on December 15 2005?If so try to revert to a previous driver - has worked for me and a couple of Germans. I got the tip from MS German Newsgroup: microsoft.public.de.flugsimulatorHope this can help you - at least the info you sent to Microsoft is almost identical to what I have been reporting.Lars
