March 20, 200620 yr I wanted to update all on my experience. 1st, thanks for all the input and suggestions.I was initiating some of the suggestion on my system; new video drivers, sound drivers, and case cleaning. That hadn't done the trick yet. Downloaded new mother board bios update. I had done this before on other boards and was comfortable doing it. There was a "caution" with the instructions that should there be a "file not found" error message your system could become un-bootable. Well, obviously that's what happened. . . Murphy's Law.Was unable to restore the previous setup with the MB utility, so bought a new MB and new memory (couldn't find a new MB that used my old memory). After a few more problems getting the system to boot with the new MB (I had to do a repair installation on XP from the OS disk. Flight Simulator hasn't crashed once. . . knock on wood.I can't say what fixed it. the MB? Using the new built-in sound? New memory. . . quite possibly? or the repair of Windows XP.Any way it doing fine...for now. It's certainly and interesting post from Graham. The trafficInfo.dll thing. The fix appears to be whatever works for you. Thanks all and take care,Terry
