Security at JFK in 2000

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. The last time I visited JFK airport was in April 2000. I flew to LAX with United but I don't remember going through any security checkpoint. As I intend to mention this in a school project, I hope someone can confirm that my memory is not playing tricks with me. Was there security screening for domestic flights at JFK in 2000?Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

Definitely. Security screening has been in place for at least 20 or 30 years. It started back when crackpots started hijacking flights to Cuba. That seems like the good old days in today's climate.

Thanks for clearing that up - then it must be my memory... in combination with jet lag!Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing
