Missing guages

Featured Replies

I don't know what I did, but I am now missing all the guages for the default cessnas. Can some one tell me where to find the guages on the dvds. I have looked, but MS sure makes it hard to find. Thanks for any help.ray

Ok this is really strange. I found the guage files on the dvds, but the ones that I am missing are not there. I think I checked every cab file and I just don't understand what is going on. It seems that all the guages that are marked like this (Cessna!) are not any place to be found. I can find the other cessna guages, but none marked like this,(Cessna!). I sure hope this is making sense to some one, because it sure in not to me. I think I am in the twlight zone or something. I will keep looking. raygauge00=Cessna!ADF,547,87gauge01=Cessna!Airspeed,146,57gauge02=Cessna!Altimeter,348,58gauge03=Cessna!Attitude,247,58gauge04=Cessna!Avionics Switch,243,286gauge05=Cessna!Cowl_Flaps,380,287gauge06=Cessna!DME,540,48gauge07=Cessna!Flaps,598,286gauge08=Cessna!Fuel_Selector, 416, 286gauge09=Cessna!Heading_Indicator, 246, 160gauge10=Cessna!IOAT, 482, 50gauge11=Cessna!Master_Alt_Bat,55,288gauge12=Cessna!Starter,5,288gauge13=Cessna!Tachometer,547,182gauge14=Cessna!Thrust_Controls,468,285gauge15=Cessna!Turn_Indicator,146,158gauge16=Cessna!Vertical_Speed,347,159gauge17=Cessna!VOR1,455,87gauge18=Cessna!Nav GPS Switch, 463, 59gauge19=Cessna!Pitch_Trim, 288, 286gauge20=Cessna!Rudder_Trim, 325, 303gauge21=Cessna182s!Autopilot_Switch, 49, 88gauge30=Cessna182s!Clock,10,104gauge31=Cessna182s!EGT_CHT,2,205gauge32=Cessna182s!Fuel,2,134gauge33=Cessna182s!Fuel_Flow_Man_Pressure, 73, 205gauge34=Cessna182s!Oil_Press_Temp, 73, 134gauge35=Cessna!OMI_Lights, 495, 70gauge36=Cessna182s!Switches,103,288gauge37=Cessna182s!VOR2,454,181gauge38=Cessna!Vacuum_Ampermeter, 72, 62gauge39=SimIcons!Kneeboard Icon, 328, 276gauge40=SimIcons!ATC Icon, 342, 276gauge41=SimIcons!Map Icon, 356, 276gauge42=SimIcons!Avionics Icon, 328, 289gauge43=SimIcons!GPS Icon, 342, 289gauge44=SimIcons!Compass Icon, 356, 289

Ray,Copy all Cessna gauges from the dvd cab file to your FS9 gauge folder. Report back if your default Cessnas still doesn't work ;-)Ulf B

I had the same problem awhile ago. I believe that some add-on plane which used default gauges deleted them when I uninstalled the plane.I downloaded them from the CD and all was well again. In my case it effected the default Cessna and the Mooney.Jim

That one gauge contains all the other gauges like the ADF, Airspeed, Altimeter, etc."Cessna!" tells FS (and you) that it contains whatever follows in the string (Cessna!Fuel_Selector).Sometimes they are compiled as a "gauge" file as the cessna gauges are -- and sometimes as a CAB file ("SimIcons!Compass Icon" is found in "SimIcons.cab") and sometimes they can even be within a simple folder.Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the help. I copied the guage file from the cd and that fixed everything. At least now I now where to find the info I need, I am sure I will have to do this again (sometime) and it will make it alot easier next time. Can any one stear me in the direction of a how to on a panel and guage tutorial? Thanks again guys. Also thanks to Avsim for the great forum. I have had trouble in the past and have most often found what help I needed here. ray
