Level D 767 ILS APP problem

Hello. I noticed, when I engage APP, I can't get off of it. If I want to go around, I cannot use my autopilot after because I can't get out of APP mode, I'm stuck on it. How do I fix this?

That's right - you can't!

There are only two ways to get out of APP mode: 

- Press the TOGA switches to initiate a go around 

- Disengage the autopilot and turn both flight directors off then on again (this will put you back in to basic modes)

It is intentionally designed so in order to minimise the risk of inadvertently disengaging APP at a critical moment (particularly during a CAT III autoland, for instance).
