April 13, 200620 yr I just completed a flight from Philadelphia to Bermuda. I was IFR with ATC all the way but strange to me, New York Center was with me all the way till Bermuda approach. Shouldn't I have been handed off before than to something like Washington Center at least or one of the centers further south? Thanks. Tom
April 13, 200620 yr Depending on the exact route you took, you might have stayed in New York Oceanic airspace all the way.It runs way down south along the coast and east over the ocean until it ends at the Caribbean airspace boundaries in the south, European and African boundaries in the east, and Canadian boundaries in the north.
