December 30, 20178 yr Hi, I haven't flown in P3D ever since XP 11.10 was released. I started the sim up today and noticed that after about 10 to 20 seconds my fps get locked to 30 which is strange since it didn't happened the last time I used the sim. If I disable vsync the fps get back to normal, but will lock to 30 again if I enable it. The only thing that has changed is the falls update of windows 10. Is there a fix? Normal is when my fps is not locked to 30fps and will go up to 60fps. I find that the problem with having vsync disbled is the increase in blurries. Locking my fps with the in built fps locker sadly produces lower fps and stuttering then having vsync on. There is some debate about how vsync works in P3D but in your case it seems to operating like traditional vsync where the sim is locking your frame rate to half your refresh rate (30) since it cannot output greater than 60 fps. A lot of us have given up on getting a smooth ride in P3D on anything over 30 fps. How does yours look at 30? gb. YSSY. I find it weird that Vsync would start acting differently then before all of a sudden. I did a flight with 4.1 before today ( in the 777 and before the windows fall update ) and my fps were not locking to 30 fps. Yes I imagine 30 is going to look pretty jerky with those faster track ir movements. I have seen P3D behave like traditional vsync and go from 60 to 30 but that was only a couple of times over a period of years. Nowdays I usually vsync at 30 and have never seen it jump to 15. gb.
