ATC issue

Featured Replies

A couple days ago the ATC stopped calling my flights by the entries in the ATC section of the cfg file (i.e. "Northwest 1234", ect.), but now uses the manufacturer and tail #(?) (like "Douglas ef234") or sum such.Don't know what happened to change it, had been working fine for years. How do I get it back?

TDog,The airline names that you're not hearing are all located in the main Sound folder in a very large file named usenglishbig.gvp. It's possible the file may have gotten corrupted, but I don't know how you can tell for sure.If you can find that file on one of your Microsoft CD's, you could reload it and see if that fixes the problem. However, aircraft manufacturers (like Douglas) are also in the .gvp file. It seems to me that nothing from ATC would work if that file is corrupted. Before doing anything drastic, wait until you get a few more responses. Someone else might be able to pinpoint the problem.Regards,JerryH

Hi,I think there may be a setting here:1. Choose Aircraft/Select Aircraft2. Press the ATC Change button.3. Look for a checkmark like "Use Flight Number" or similar.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
