programs not installing to hard drive

Featured Replies

Hello all: I just gained a terrible bug, I am not sure what is wrong with my system. when I run programs that create directories on my computer they finish with no errors, but no directories or files are created either.

I tried two different new programs now. I tried 3 different harddrives on my system, and tried using my own directory names and using the programs default directory creation.

I dont know if I have a virus or hardware crashing, or something wrong with my motherboard harddrive controller or what.

I can manually create and move files normally. I run as administrator, and have even turned off my comodo anti virus as well to no avail. I also have plenty of room on the harddrives I have tried.

I am at a loss what to do? I dont even know where to begin to solve this problem.

I tried rebooting as well. This is a new problem that started within the last two days.

Win7 system. numerous mechanical and Solid state harddrives.

I7 4700k cpu asus z97-pro motherboard. 16 gig ram.
