May 13, 200620 yr Does anyone here use the GF TQ6 throttle unit?I am having a problem with mine when engaging the reverse thrust levers. They only seem to engage the reverese thrust about 10%. If you use one of these units and can offer some advice it would be appreciated.RgdsAidihttp://www.avsim.com/pages/0100/avsim_sig.jpg
May 13, 200620 yr Author Hello Aidi!I use one and I love it, but there are some limitations due to FS2004. When you engage reverse thrust with the TQ6, the reverse is activated by the buttons found inside the reverse thrust levers. The buttons get activated as soon as you move the reverse lever down and touch the throttle lever (you probably know this by now). The problem is that FS2004 does not support increasing or decreasing reverse thrust - it is just an engaged / disengaged state at the moment. As far as the reverse thrust travel at only 10% - that's a good one because I've never paid attention to that - I'll look into it, but make sure that your TQ6 is calibrated and that you have used the GoFlight GFConfig to configure it properly. When FSX comes out, I HOPE that the folks at Microsoft programmed a more realistic reverse thrust logic so we can make use of the features offered by the TQ6 and any other throttle that may come out in the future.Hope this helps!Sincerely,Dennis D.
