May 18, 200620 yr I have been using fs9.1 for a long time and it was working wellTo days ago , things started to go crazy, all of the scenery is reduced ,and running as though there is no memory, i have run a number of utilities and no repair was effectiveTe easiest way to explain this is that there are no buildings. the planes are parked at gates ( but no building is present). The runways are gone but some lights are there. The background scenery is visible but no detail. I tried loading a variety of locations and the same thing was happening everywhere ???? any ideas?, The aircraft fly well and they are fully detailed. I tried flight sim manager and it did not fix the problem...thoughts, utilities.I dont want to reinstall the whole thing..thankssystemnvidia 6800gt 256K agp card3.2 p4 2M65% hard disk space availableaudigy 2 z sound cardwindows xp pronetworked to another via 1G netwrok vcard switch.3.2 p4 2Mlots of memory and free space on the drive
May 18, 200620 yr Im really sorry but I am not sure where the fs repair resides.where is that optionIn the add / remove section of windows the only option I have is to uninstall fs or reinstall. Have you tried Fs repair from windows menu?>>>
May 18, 200620 yr Check out your scenery.cfg in the fs9 main folder and make sure it is not corrupted (e.g., Layers/Areas must match for each Area and they must be numbered sequencially). The scenery.cfg easily gets corrupted moving areas around in the Scenery Library. If that doesn't resolve your problem, have you tried renaming the fs9.cfg to fs9.old and restarting the sim? This will allow the fs9.cfg to rebuild itself. Also check the order of sceneries in your scenery library. For instance, if you have Ultimate Terrain installed, it would be located lower than an addon airport such as KLAX in the Scenery Library. KLAX would be listed on the top of the Scenery Library and Ultimate Terrain would be located below it. Hope this helps.JimYoung
May 19, 200620 yr OK, cannot guarentee it will fix anything, but worth a try.Start-Programs-Program Files-Microsoft Games-MS 2004-troublesooting-small menu offering reset, cfg support, safe mode etc.I assuming that your install is in same directories I have indicated.
