Looking for 3rd Wire carrier trap tool

Featured Replies

Long ago I had found a tool for landing on aircraft carriers titled 3rd Wire or Third Wire and I cannot find it now.

Does anyone know where I could download it please?

Why not try the following download by Rob Barendregt ? Works great, just read the instructions carefully.

rcbco-11-1.zip

Good luck

Hans

Oops ! Incorrect file name. Should be rcbco-20.zip

Sorry

I have that rcbco-20.zip--and use it all the time.

I want to retry 3rd Wire, though.

You use it all the time ? If that's true, then why would you want to fix it when it aint broke ?

I want it so I can use it with a payware Navy plane for which rcbco-20.zip does not work.  That is a good enough reason.

Building the necessary rcbco-20 gauges into a panel can be done in ANY aircraft, also payware ones. The same holds true for specifying the necessary catapult launch and cable trap areas on each carrier's flight deck.

Instead of becoming hot headed and nasty, could you please explain WHY rcbco-20 will not work with your payware Navy plane. The FS comunity would be very interested to know why and how "3rd wire" or "third wire", would somehow work where rcbco-20 would not, or at least have advantages over rcbco-20.

Looking forward to your prompt answer.

Hans
