Helo Everybody!Im a Flightsim fan amd im using fs9 for a long time.Some days ago i need to reinstall the windows.I did the reinstall and install some programs like nod32, winrar, winzip...etc so the computer is "empty".i have installed the fs with full.About 15-20min after start the flight the fs close itself.I tried with and without addons and it was the same.I tried with tipical install and it did the same.Before reinstall the windows the fs works fine about 9-10month without reinstall and it never crashed.I have a lot of addons like pmdg, pss, aerosoft sceneries...Does anybody have some ideas why the fs crash?Somebody help me, please!ThanksGyula

Hi Gyula,When you reinstalled windows did you run windows update before you installed drivers for your video and sound?Is this with default aircraft?When you uninstalled the FS to try to reistall did you select remove settings and save games in the dialog?When you finish uninstalling the FS you need go to c:documents and settingsyournameapplication datamicrosoft and delete FS9.You then need to go to program files and remove the left over files after the ininstall. Then you need to defragement your harddrive.Then reinstall and test only the default installation. Try to note if somethign occures that causes it to crash.CheersShad

Could also be a cpu overheat problem, happened to me on my old rig quite often. FS is a real resource hog on your cpu, so everything else can work just fine ...Eagle

Helo Guys!Thanks for answering!I have installed a new windows wich has the SP2, and updated with everything it needs and only after installed any other programs(except the NOD32).I know that the fs doesnt delete everythnig, so i delete the files, logs and after i always clean the registry with Registry Mechanic(payware).I tried with default plane and payware plane as well(level-d, pmdg) but the result was the same, it closed itself after 20min.I bought a new cpu before windows install, P4 3.0ghz.I also have a Radeon 9600xt video card, 1g ram and 200g HDD.The house is very old and small and the cpu is close to the power supply .Can it be an overheat problem as Eagle said?The windows doesnt reboot just the fs closed.I have used the fs with my old cpu(celeron 2ghz) for a long time without problems and off corse low performance.Gyula

One quick and very simple test would be to remove the side panel from your pc and see if that helps. If it does, I advice you to do something more permanent
