Xplane 11 activating dvd key

Hello and thank you in anticipation 

I have Xplane 11  download everything is fine, on my recommendation my friend purchased Xplane 11 BUT purchased the Box set from Aerosoft . The DVD arrived 

But when he try’s to input the Code to activate it won’t activate he has contacted Aerosoft part of the response is below

Hello 

 

i think you have selected Dome Projection in the X-Plane Settings (Rendering Options or Grafic) Menu.

This is only available with the pro key for commercial use.

 

You shall deset this if it is possible.

We are both Pensioners and we are stuck . And my friend is 200 miles away, so I can’t get over to help in anyway 

Any advise please

1) Run X-Plane

2) If asked, choose to run it as a "demo"

3) Start a flight with any aircraft, on any airport

4) When the flight starts, go to "Developer" menu, and choose "Show projection parameters"

5) Deselect the checkbox labeled: "Use cylindrical projection on all displays"

6) Close the "projection configuration" window

7) Close X-Plane

8) Re-run X-Plane

9) Try entering the activation code.
