February 27, 20188 yr Yes it is. I drove from Bend to Salem back in 2013, went to see Silver Falls State Park outside of Salem, beautiful series of waterfalls there. In Bend there is a small mountain, seen in a couple of my screenshots here, that you can drive up and see panoramic views of the Cascades. They have written material on the Cascades and the geography of the surrounding area. John
